English Referring to my music, Mono expresses one obsessive idea. I suggest to think in a "monolithic pattern" evolving through the piece, creating sound dimensions and espaces. A pattern creates a mouvement, like a vortex where everything turns around. Repetition-Pattern is an aspect that I explore in my music: Have you had the experience to repeat one word until it losses its sense? I've been interested into the creation of shifting textures in my music, where harmonic color changes gradually, like in a twilight where we don't know exactly the moment when the sky goes dark. Mono expresses this idea of color and darkness too. Deutsch Mono wird von einer obsessiven Idee getragen und kann in seiner Gesamtstruktur als „monolithisches Pattern“ beschrieben werden, als dicht gefügtes Muster, das sich im Verlauf des Stückes herausbildet und lebendige klangliche Dimensionen und Räume entstehen lässt. Ein Pattern erzeugt eine Bewegung, die wie ein Strudel alles erfasst und mit sich zieht. In meiner Musik erforsche ich vor allem repetitive Pattern. Haben Sie schon einmal ein Wort so lange wiederholt, bis es jeden Sinn verliert? Auf ähnliche Weise beschäftige ich mich in meiner Musik mit Texturen, die sich allmählich verändern und der Dämmerung vergleichbar sind, wo man ja nicht genau sagen kann, wann der Himmel dunkel wird. Mono bringt auch diese Idee von Farbe und Dunkelheit zum Ausdruck. – Arturo Fuentes |
